Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for a candidate with 0-1 year of experience in infrastructure management. You will assist in managing our hybrid infrastructure, including Windows, Linux, VMware, and Cloud environments. Your role will involve routine maintenance tasks like installing system updates, configuring servers, and installing various agents on the infrastructure. You will also work closely with senior engineers and managers to ensure our systems operate efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

Server Management:
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.

Update and Patch Management:
Apply patches and updates to operating systems, applications, and security settings across the infrastructure.

VMware Environment Support:
Assist in managing virtualized environments using VMware, including provisioning new virtual machines and managing resources.

Cloud Infrastructure Support:
Collaborate with senior engineers to support and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.

Software Agent Installations:
Install and configure various agents (monitoring, security, backup, etc.) across Windows and Linux servers.

System Monitoring:
Monitor system performance, network activity, and application availability. Report any anomalies or performance degradation to senior engineers.

Documentation:
Create and update technical documentation for processes, procedures, and infrastructure setup.

Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with senior engineers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth infrastructure operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Educational: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Technical Proficiency:
Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or similar (Basic level preferred).

Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Problem-Solving Ability:
Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and follow escalation procedures when necessary.

Attention to Detail:
Keen eye for detail, especially in handling system updates and configurations.

Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:
Basic experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
Any relevant certification (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) would be advantageous.
